Being sponsored has helped me solidify my management team. Giving them access to Engage’s services has made them more effective and more loyal to CWS. I finally feel that I have the team that is ready to grow the organization. Plus, the program had make me a more effective leader and enhanced my development skills, enabled me to meet other non-profit leaders, and is connecting me to emerging business leaders who are supporting our growth. |

Improve Your Performance. Expand Your Network.
Ask a business leader of a growing company "What do you think would happen to the performance of your company if you did not invest in the development of your management team, salespeople and emerging leaders"? The response would probably be something like "Our revenue and profitability would decline" or "We would lose our competitive advantage" or "We would not be able to retain top talent".
As a nonprofit leader you know how to do more with less. If you are like most of our nonprofit clients -big and small- you probably have limited or no access to high-level leadership, sales and presentation skills development for yourself, your management team, your development team, your future leaders or your board members.
Engage's mission is to provide you with free or very low cost access to world-class professional development while helping you expand your network so you can grow your organization and do more great things. We do this in two ways:
- Sponsorships. We created a new sponsorship model for business leaders who want a new way to influence and help the nonprofits they are most passionate about. Instead of sponsoring an event or a table at an event, our sponsorships help business leaders support a nonprofit's capacity-building initiatives. When your organization is sponsored it means a business leader cares about helping you with capacity-building. You, and perhaps others in your organization, attend Engage's classes free or charge so you can develop new skills and be exposed to new ideas. You will meet other nonprofit leaders. And if the sponsoring company hosts one of your classes, you will have the opportunity to meet some of their emerging and experienced leaders. Our classes have produced new partnerships between nonprofits, introduced emerging business leaders to board opportunities and helped nonprofits diversify their boards.
- Pay-what-you-can. Our pay-what-you-can model was created so nonprofits can give their managers, staff, interns and board members access to high-level sales, presentation and leadership training. Our model basically imitates one offered by Panera Bread (please click here to read about their great idea.) All of our half-day and one-day classes are available. We give you a suggested price to pay for a class. You pay that amount if you can, or whatever your nonprofit can afford. The suggested price is equal to an 80% discount to the rate a company pays to enroll their employees. For example, a half-day session that a company pays $350.00 to register an employee has a suggested price of $70.00 for nonprofits. A one-day $700.00 session has a suggested price of $140.00. Our classes bring together a divese mix of nonprofit and business professionals.
